A Little Coca-Cola Bubba History from the Holler

Y’all, did you know Coca-Cola is sold in over 200 countries around the world? That’s more countries than the United Nations has members! I reckon there ain’t many places on God’s green earth where you can’t find a cold Coke.

And here’s a fun one I learned: that crisp, refreshing flavor you love? A big part of it comes from the fact that the Coca-Cola syrup is kept chilled before it gets mixed with the carbonated water. They chill that syrup down nice and cold so when it hits the drink, it gives you that perfect snap in every sip. I always knew it tasted better cold, but now I know why!

From a little pharmacy in Atlanta back in 1886 to bein’ one of the most recognized brands on the planet — that’s some serious holler-to-the-world success story right there.

Holler Tips from Cletus

Always use regular Coca-Cola (not diet) — it caramelizes way better.
Don’t be afraid to go heavy-handed with the Coke like I do.
These recipes travel great to potlucks and family reunions — they disappear fast.
Make extra gravy or sauce — it only gets better after a day in the fridge.
